Selected as a 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts by the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars and the U.S. Department of Education, Lauren Cheng was recognized for her leadership, academic achievements, and creative excellence. Only 161 students are honored as Presidential Scholars each year out of the 3.7 million high school graduating seniors. Lauren was also named a YoungArts Winner with Distinction in Design and participated in National YoungArts Week in Florida. Most recently, Lauren was selected as a winner of the Congressional Art Competition for District CA-15. Her graphic design piece "646" advocating against gun violence is on display in the U.S. Capitol Building from 2024-2025.
